Inner Alchemy's Mother's Month of May Presents:
Mandalas for the Soul
The mandala is the compass of the Soul, always guiding us back to our true north. It appears to us in all aspects of life, the Earth, the Sun, and the circle of life encompassing friends, family and communities. In fact, "mandala" is a Sanskrit word that means "circle". Mandalas generally have one identifiable center point, from which emanates an array of symbols, shapes and forms. Mandalas can contain both geometric and organic forms. They can also contain recognizable images that carry meaning for the person who is creating it. In essence, mandalas represent the connection between our inner worlds and outer reality. Designing your own mandala can be both inspirational and therapeutic.
Join Tami Bensen and Gail Kronberg for a unique opportunity to express sacred geometry through art and sound. Witness the visual mandalas that are created by Tibetan singing bowls. Learn the ancient connection of the mandala throughout history. Immerse yourself in the healing sounds and vibrations of singing bowls, while creating your own work of art.
When you create your own mandala, think of it as an echo of your soul. Drawing and coloring a mandala can be a highly enriching personal experience in which you look inside yourself and find the shapes, colors and patterns to represent anything from your current state of mind to your most deeply-desired wish for yourself, for a loved one, or for humanity. Painting, coloring or drawing mandalas allows for our creative brain to come out and play, leading to an altered state where we can perform constructive healing, and gain incredible insight into ourselves and our lives.
This meditative process is easy and requires no previous art experience.
